Major gripe alert !
Am I doing something wrong somewhere, I have only had 1 successful bar code scan on this site, usually have to enter the product in with all the details, correct me if I'm wrong but fatsecret has been going for years now and I thought they would have a much bigger database...The thing is I've seen a few YouTube videos of people using FS and scanning products and loads of options come up at the side of the phone, (I use my tab) am I doing something wrong?

FS uses standard databases. The same databases as Fitbit it would seem. There are at least two separate databases, US and UK. Also, have you tried manually entering something then scanning it. Perhaps the videos show people scanning things they have previously entered manually. Just a thought.

I've found f's doesn't seem to find stuff as good as it used to .. usually find it looking manually tho.

You would have thought it would be an enormous database by now Hippy-01 I used to be with MFP and I used to scan nearly everything. X

on a plus note ..i find i eat the same foods so it doesnt take me long to log them in

I find sometimes mine has switched back to the American database and then it can't find anything. But when I switch it back to English I find it works pretty well for most things here.
