Just returned from New Zealand. I was exercising (scaling mountains, glacier and long hikes of between 3-12 hours everyday) and yet I gained weight. It is a mystery to me. I don't have a big belly, but somehow I managed to gain weight. I'm not sure if it is muscle, but I also know that the diet in NZ is not that great. Too many sweet temptations and it is now the most obese country in the world taking over Mexico's No.1 spot. I know that my weight according to the BMI and other scales should be around 165-175 lbs even with my large frame size. I really want to get a body fat test just to determine my percentage from a professional such as the DEXA (Dual-Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry). This will give me a better picture of how much fat I have and what a health % is to be at for my age. The great things about NZ is I did one of the world's highest bungy jumps at 134m and also the world's largest swing which is a 70m free fall followed by a 400m swing over the canyon. It was so amazing. Now it is time to get back on track with some health weight loss.
193.0 lb Lost so far: 5.0 lb.    Still to go: 14.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 1.0 lb a week
