Good morning, FS Fam!

While trying to get my mojo back, I've been trying to remember EXACTLY what I was doing during the time that I was feeling so AWESOME. It's coming back piece by piece. After watching a podcast by Dr. Issac Jones (thanks Sugar Waffle for pointing me in his direction), I realized that I had stopped grounding/earthing. Dave Asprey encourages it also. I do believe that is a big part of what I have been missing this go around. Does anyone else "ground"?

It sounds kind of nutty, so I thought I would share some science behind it.

Hmmm, what was I doing this time last year? I had to go check out my journals. I had just left a bad 13 yr marriage, so I'd lowered some of my stress, but had a friend who was still keeping me stressed. Had to leave her out of my life too. But I was miserably overweight, sluggish all the time and still on insulin. Definitely made some good changes over the past year. As for grounding/earthing.. yep! Used to do this all the time in my 20s and early 30s. Not sure why I stopped. I began doing it again this summer. It definitely makes the body feel great!

When I did do this over the summer, I felt wonderful and looked forward to doing it. Then I stopped. I've seen a guy in my town do this every morning, yr round. Even when it is below Zero out! I miss it

Oh yes, I firmly believe in grounding.

Definitely sounds like you made some good decisions over the year, Ravyne. Congrats! I'm thinking starting back a year round regimen myself. I don't think a pair of socks will interfere much??

Yw, Jill. Thanks, Spellspirit. I HAVE to know the science behind things. Seems to make them more worth doing...lol.

I have a friend who has diabetic neuropathy, and we obtained dirt from a sacred location (we definitely know it from experiences). He sifted the dirt to remove all possible foreign materials like sticks and large rocks to avoid injury to his feet. He then poured the dirt into a large shallow box. During the winter, he takes the time to stand in this dirt box for about five minutes at least once a week. It keeps the pain down for the entire week. Yes he does place the box outside in the sunlight and in the full moon occasionally to "recharge" it. We also mix a solution with the fine dirt and natural well water to make a paste and apply to areas that are causing problems. It works. I don't know how, but it works.

Thanks, SheaDlady! I hadn't thought about doing it that way. I actually have well water, and plenty of dirt around here. I will definitely give it a try! :)
