Okay. So the wake-up worked. I've been back on the diet perfectly and the weight I'd gained seems to have dropped right back off. It was probably water weight after several days of playing with diet fire--chinese food, garlic bread, other garbage like that.

Interestingly, I think the long, gradual carbing-up was just the reset my body needed to really start losing again. The paleo/keto deadening of hunger is back and I'm feeling clear-headed and calm again.

I don't know if it was the time change or weather change or what, but when I'm tempted to eat carbs like my body wants me to, I need to remember how crappy and hungry they make me feel.

Rice is my nemesis. I want it so bad and it just does NOTHING to fill me up, so I just eat and eat and eat until only my shame stops me.
