ok day off (we have to gently ease ourselves back to work after a holiday. Didn't really do much, finally managed to watch "Avengers" that's the marvel one not the Emma Peel one (for those of you under 30 I doubt if you will know what I mean) and guess what: looking for my next holiday in may. We have to have our little treats, especially when you get to my age. you don't know if you will be around to see the next one. To be honest when I got off the treadmill the other day I didn't think I would be around long enough to go on another holiday. Just found out that I will be working Christmas day. It wasn't much of as a surprise as I had Christmas day off last year and worked boxing day. Well just off to make a chilli con carne mixture, everyone coming around for tea, no rest for the wicked, have a good weekend everybody

Hey Jim, love avengers was that age of ultron? Or assemble, we watched them both the other day, I love it can't wait to see the new James bond either oh and star wars lol. Boo that's pants having to work Christmas day :( I have just got some presents and hidden them for my little boy, he is 7 and loves star wars, I got him a light saber which glows and makes noises plus a darth vader outfit that has the breathing noise on a push button, can't wait to see his little face Christmas morning

That takes me back. The first full-time job I had was in the toy dept of a large store in the 1970s - Star Wars figures and light sabres...
