The last two weeks I had two days on the weekend where just ate waaaay too much. I'm trying to reduce it to one "cheat" day where I still count the calories, if possible :) this is my next long term goal.

I think it would be a good idea to continue to log/count calories even on your 'cheat' days. The last time I had successful weight loss (about 10 or so years ago), I allowed myself such a day (usually Saturday or Sunday since I found the weekend's could be hardest to 'behave'), but still logged the food. But I also found that, it wasn't long before I really didn't 'need' such a day and wasn't interested in eating junky foods or overeating when that day rolled around. Also, with this time around, I've changed my mindset a little bit and decided AGAINST any sort of cheat day. I read one article on-line (tried to find it to post link here, but can't locate it at the moment) that listed pros/cons and 'psychology' of cheat days and the bottom line was the author advised against them because to 'cheat' on a diet perpetuates a sort of 'guilt' with eating vs. a 'healthy relationship' with food. So, at the very least, you may want to 'rename' your 'cheat day'? Or, an alternative approach is not to 'schedule' a specific cheat day in advance, but 'allow yourself' more food or a special treat (without going overboard, of course) on days that you're body (but NOT your mind/emotions and NOT your 'diet calendar') is truly, physically craving it.
