looks super! I love oatmeal, but the texture freaks me out. So I include chopped almonds and chunky peanut butter. Originally, I added a granola bar, but nixed it after a while to save on calories.

The texture can be a challenge for some people ! I tend to undercook it and prefer it that way before it gets to that “glob” texture. The apples still have some bite to them and the walnuts add texture.

Funny, my solution to textural issues is to overcook it until it's stiffer and not so viscous. As a kid, I disliked the texture of cooked oatmeal, but would eat the raw right out of the box. I eat a lot of my oatmeal uncooked, either mixed into yogurt or soaked in milk with chia and flax

I tend to over cook it, I like it to be thick. I make it the day before I eat it and keep it in the refrigerator. I slice a banana in it, add 2 tablespoons of chopped walnuts and lots of cinnamon. I was surprised that I don't need to add sugar. I just recently started eating it after avoiding it for years
