Good afternoon FS friends

Kind of a miserable fall day here on the might Niagara River. 9C/48F, overcast and raining. Normally this would not bother me in the least, but the drastic change from last week where it was very warm verging on hot(comfortable shorts weather in fact) is more than my achy bones like. Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

Went to a great concert last night at Fallsview - Samantha Fish followed by Kenny James Shepherd. I just love a good rock/blues concert and the guitar playing of KJS is pretty freaking awesome.

Off today to a local eaterie for an early Thanksgiving dinner with a friend. Dining out is always a challenge and a turkey dinner with all the fixin's falls into that category as stuffing, mashed and gravy are high on the list of things I can go to town on. Odds are, I'll bypass the turkey and get something entirely different (not fish though as this has been very much a salmon week and my palate is craving a change)

Chicken or veal parm sounds intriguing and will need to control the consumption of penne in marinara and the inevitable garlic bread (pass outright as again, if I have one piece, I want it all)

I just have to keep reminding myself that this is almost "whole" food and not a bad thing as a result. Wish I could take my konjac noodles with me but that would be crass to the extreme. Still thinking about it though...

I'm sure there will come a day where I can manage this without a second thought, but am not there yet. I suppose the learning comes with the doing.

Over and out

On Thanksgiving we always eat our traditional meal that both of our mother's fixed. Big temp changes here too. It was bound to happen but I do not want 30s this soon.
