VOLUME EATING - what are your thoughts?
I always believed high volume of low cal foods like veggies was the magic answer to healthy weight loss.Recently, I heard a fitness coach/reformed binge eater state NEVER volume eat, because as a binge eater, you become accustomed to large quantities of food. It's fine when on-track BUT when you go off-track, you want to eat/binge until you've had a large volume of food. I've seen those stretched out stomachs on 600 Pound Life tv show (TLC). Now, I'm rethinking bigger meals. And, yes, when I binge, I eat ALOT. Help!

Do you do small meals or larger meals?

Thank you - I hadn’t considered this! I also usually have a lot of veggies at once (eg. tonight’s meal plan includes 1c cooked green beans and 1c cooked sliced carrots.) … May have to re-think this approach!

Eating a lot of vegetables is fine because they have a ton of vitamins and fiber, unlike cake, which I'd rather have a lot of 😀

Personally I love loading up on veggies. For me binge eating has an element of loss of control and dissociation that does not happen when I eat multiple servings of vegetables.

I think it is different than eating a lot of processed or carb foods. When we make a salad for dinner the three of us Use the entire head of lettuce plus veggies (and chicken or ground beef). I don’t feel bad at all. I think I’d be starving otherwise.

I eat 4 smaller meals but I feel after detoxes my stomach went back to normal and I get full at 16 oz and can't over eat anyway. I would say if you are hungry, then you can keep eating veggies. If you aren't hungry, that's different. But honestly if you are having urges of binging, it's better to do it on the veggies till you are in different habits or can figure out the why. It sounds like it wouldn't affect your weightloss and calories for the day.
