The aspens are beginning to turn up top. 7 mile hike, 3.5 hours. Lowest elevation 8400, highest 8900 -- and that 500 feet was in a dead climb. Beautiful day. I feel human again! :D

So does getting lost, FoodyDuty 🤣 We really hadn't intended to hike that long, but we got slightly misplaced. I don't mind going 7-8 miles, but it's a little hard on my husband

Thanks, Tonya and ken! I actually took a day off today to drive up in the mountains while the aspens are golden. They seem to change every day, so we try to go up a lot this time of year. 127 days until retirement, so no incentive to hang onto leave time 😉
