I have been having quite a hard time with the weight going up. It seems to be on it's way back down though, thankfully. Just too many celebrations really that lead to indulgences over and over. My hubby and I had a great anniversary overnighter in Chicago. We tried Indian food, had ice cream, rode the ferris wheel and watched the fireworks at Navy Pier, and ran 4.3 miles along the lakeshore on Sunday morning. That was glorious! So many bikers, swimmers, walkers, runners etc! I wish we could do that more often but would have to deal with the cost of parking, etc. It's about a 45 min drive for us to be downtown so not too bad I guess. We then had brunch and then shopped on Michigan Ave, although didn't buy anything. Then there was coffee and the cheescake factory. My belly couldn't take anymore and it looked a little preggo. Actually more like 6 months preggo! It is coming back to flatter. The good news is I worked today and will work again tomorrow and I always lose when I work outside the house. Anyway, it was a great little trip and much needed time together! Hope all is well with you all.

LOL! That certainly does sound like a glorious time. I was just thinking last night about the Cheesecake Factory and how I have perfectly reverse engineered their BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad. :-)

Sounds like you really enjoyed yourself! Good for you and happy belataed anniversary. Your run sounded fabulous! Did you always enjoy running or just started to when training for your triathalon? If enjoying running is new, how did you change/convert your mindset? I find it hard sometimes to enjoy running. Some days it's okay, others I enjoy it, but more often than not, it's "work". I'm trying to figure out a way to conistently enjoy it. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Your getaway sounds amazing! At least you added exercise into the mix of all the eating out. Thanks for the suggestion to try for something bigger than a 5K. I'm looking into a training group with the running club I joined. Great job coming back down on the weight chart!
