Went way overboard with sunflower seeds but did well otherwise....should I be freaked more by total calories or just be worried about carbs and sugars?

For me, if I stay at 12-15 veggie carbs and all the other daily recommendations for Phase 1, I stay low in calories. But the book says not to worry about calories.
