I am starting today. My main goal is to drop weight. I need to do something or I will die early like my Dad. He wasnt a heavy man when he died, but he was when he was younger and it contributed to his early death. Type 2 Diabettes, Heart Failure, Kidney Disease, and an amputated leg. No way for me to go out.

Im 30 now. Looking to start a family soon, and I need to be around for my kids. My monthly goal is to lose 10 lbs a month and be 70lbs lighter for November when I am planning to run a tough mudder contest in Englishtown NJ. Its a 12 mile course that combines aerobic ability with pure strength to get over obstacles. I want to be able to complete this course.

I did a 2000 calorie diet today. Im hungry now, but I am told the hunger will go away as you continue on the diet and watching your calories. No gimics this time either. Just portion control and working out at the gym. Lets see what happens.

Here we go...

My father died too early as well. This is why I am dieting too. Good for you that you're starting early. I think I may have waited a bit too long as I have joint problems and high tri levels. I don't think I can reverse the damage but hopefully I can stop it from getting worse. Good luck on your mudder contest.
