Only 2.2 pounds away from the first 10lb loss. The first 10lbs are usually a challenge for me but even in my walking cast I am working and succeeding. Little changes are making a big difference. I have had one drink in the past 3 weeks and plan to keep continuing abstaining from alcohol until Thanksgiving whether I am able to run the race or not. I research menus before I go to restaurants and I always make sure I have leftovers. I am giving up condiment laden fast food option in exchange for healthier on the go meals. I still have indulgences such as candy and french fries but I plan and keep it small. MY next big thing to over come is family events. We have a family picnic on Saturday at my Grandma's. I need to plan and work on self-control and I am using the motivator that afterwards we are going shopping to get me some interview clothes/adult work wardrobe. Hopefully I get a job in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed for full time or at least good paying part time.
