Faith and Film last night - The Book Thief - great movie, and very late night - got home by 11:30. Made me want to read the book. Slept in, but got out to dig up remains of the very invasive plant which had overtaken the large pond and was then growing all around it and the smaller pond. I got all I could, but know some roots are still in the soil. I may even be motivated to use Round-Up on them when they reappear. I stopped this effort about 11, then came in and had a meal of Festival Eggs. I left about 1:30 to stop into The Dump looking for a kitchen rug, then HD for grout in a tube, and metal mesh for the raised bed. Sales woman talked a long time about the grout and no solution presented itself. Went to see Jan Roszel at Piedmont. She had been moved to a regular room across from Ken Cribbs, and was lonely and depressed after all the attention she had gotten in ICU. I stayed close to an hour, then passed Adelaide Hanson on my way out, who was there to visit both.
Traffic was terrible moving down Peachtree, then also Piedmont, so I eventually went all the way back to Lenox to get to Lenox Square. I walked there for about 2 miles among throngs of people, then stopped in at Anthropologie and Pottery Barn looking for a kitchen rug.
Got home about 6 and opened the roll of mesh on top of the plywood covering the brick bed, to encourage it to flatten out. Dinner was tilapia, green beans and rice.
