vackerman's Journal, 23 February 2011

Well, I'm relieved. I just confirmed that my bike will arrive tomorrow. I need to get MOVING!!!! The eating thing has been going ok at times and disastrous at others. I'm having a hard time getting back into the right mindset after focusing just on my rehab. I'm hoping once the bike is here and I can really workout everyday that will help bring things back into focus....here's hoping.

Otherwise, I'm going to have to really dig deep like I did back at the beginning of this journey....

WOOHOO!!! I know you have been waiting on your bike! As for the eating, I have struggled the past two days, but so far, so good today. I'm just clueless as to what to fix for supper. Unless I go to the grocery store before church, all my meat is frozen. :(

@Kendra How did you make you with dinner? One of my go to proteins in that situation is shrimp, it thaws quickly and cooks VERY quickly. It is pricey, but if you really manage your portions you can make many, many meals out of one package. WAY cheaper that going out for it! Wishing you the best.

Thanks V. I crashed and burned. Today is a new day. I'm trying to focus really hard on my anchor, my doctor's visit. I go in April and I want good, or at least better results this time. I'm sick and tired of feeling blah. I've wasted a week. Time to "unofficially" weigh and assess the damage. I'm not much of a seafood eater. I can tolerate it when it is battered and fried, which outweighs the health benefits.

I can relate to the crashing and burning. I've been pretty good about getting on my bike almost every day, but the eating thing I'm still struggling. I'm hoping a break in the weather will help. The snow and cold does not help me make good choices....give me the mashed potatoes and gravy! Hang in there, continue to try and try again. That's what I'm doing. I will get there, right now it's just a question of when. Have a great week! Hope the "damage" was less than expected. Either way, forgive yourself and commit to doing better next time.
