The sun is shining, and its finally getting warm again!!
I haven't seen weather like this since the late 80's! I hope to at least get my potatoes planted today.

I have the garden ready, just need to get a little more good black dirt in it, and we are off and growing!
Planting more tomatoes this year, some peppers, potatoes, maybe cucumbers again, and parsley, rosemary, and cilantro.

That should be enough for this year. Next year I want to expand the bed. I may have to plant my zucchini outside of the bed. I don't know if I want to plant it again. I only got 3 nice squash last year. Tons of bloom, no squash. I will be canning the tomatoes diced, and maybe some salsa. The potatoes I will chunk in pints. I may even venture into some pickles!!

I figure the pints will be easier, and will be easier to control portions. We'll have to wait and see. I even want to try to can some meat this year too, along with some soup. The soup may end up in quarts, enough for the hubby and me for supper.

I have been trying to walk everyday, as long as its not raining. I try to take a 20 minute walk in the morning/early afternoon, and one in the evening with the hubby. That one varies. It could be 20 minutes, or 45. It mostly depends on how he's feeling when he gets home.

I decided to make a weekly menu. So far so good. Tonight will be chicken quesadillas on the grill, as long as the weather cooperates.

The hubby just stopped by on his way to another job. I just had to restore the laptop, because I walked outside to tell him love you and see you later, and I come in to find a cat on the lappie, and the log on screen up. lol!! Darn cats!! That's twice today!! Oh, and the hubs dropped of 2 slices of home made biscotti from one of his customers. Lord love them!! These ladies send him off with biscotti, pizzelles, home made fudge, coolies, canned peppers, jelly, and the list goes on!! We always seem to run in to one of his customers when we go to the store, no matter what store it is. I love those ladies!! They always tell me how nice he is, and how good he works, and how courteous, and so on. I tell them, well he better be!! I let them know if he isn't and I hear about it, I'll knock him a good one with a 2x4! lol!!

I haven't been able to really go through everyone's journals. I will just say, keep up the great work!! Don't give up. Everyone will falter from time to time. Just know that there IS someone who cares, and will be here for you!!

Time to get out of this corner, and get some dishes cleaned up.

Have a wonderful day!! Love you all!!

Thanks for stopping by to visit me on my journal. I did treadmill 45 mins yesterday - trying to shake off the blues. Then I walked to the grocer. You're doing great - glad it's your hubby's customers sending home the treats.. I am not that strong when people send me stuff... I'd eat it all or have to throw it away after a bite... hate that.. can resist a housefull of food but one tin of free cookies and I'm a nutcase. Why is that??

I didn't put out a garden this year and after reading your journal I wish I hadn't missed the opportunity. I love fresh home-grown tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. Glad to see you are doing well, Lu.
