ColetteMarie's Journal, 27 April 2014

Hope to make this challenge. I have not been under 150 lbs for at least six years and it is nice to finally get past this barrier that I was finally broke over the last few weeks. Writing down what I eat and being "nagged" by the percentage of daily allotted calories has been the charm. I am learning to enjoy what I am eating while paying attention to the quantity. But some days by lunch I get close to being maxed out, thank goodness for Costco, when I get close to 100% of my calories for a day, it's helpful that there are only 15 calories in two cups of their organic salad mix and adding a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar adds only 5 more calories. If I get way over my daily calorie budget, water can be filling and it has no calories whatsoever. I know I am going make it but I still think peanut butter with Ghirardelli chocolate chips or honey is even better than a great cup of coffee. However, seeing that I am heading to fitting into my favorite suit and realizing I may soon not become depressed by what I see in a dressing room mirror makes it well worth cutting back on things I can live without.
