I have not fell off the wagon but it has been tough today because we had follow up with my husband's Doctor's. The tumor has shrunk enough to be surgically removed but now the superior vena cava is totally blocked and now the other vein on the other side and the jugular are partially blocked too. They are not sure if the blockage is from a blood clot that formed or if it has been damaged from the tumor. Dr. Su is consulting with Dr. Slone Guy a Cardiovascular Surgeon to see what the best way is to proceed. The Surgery will have to be at the Temple Heart Surgery Center now instead of at Fox Chase. When Dr. Su started talking about a heart lung by-pass machine and stopping his heart and words like aorta, pericardium and vein grafts and resections I just shut down and so did Terry

I am sending prayers and good thoughts your way, Becky. I have a friend whose husband just completed 8 weeks of almost daily chemo and will have his colon cancer surgery in a few weeks. I am at a loss for words of comfort for you, but it sounds as if your husband's doctors will be working together well to make this a successful surgery for him.
