MamaCabral7's Journal, 22 February 2021

So I went ahead and changed my goal weight to help myself not feel so overwhelmed and disappointed in myself. Sigh. I am frustrated with myself with all this back and forth. I know what I need to do. I went ahead and sacrificed some of my favorite foods during this Lent season because I have so much to be thankful for. A small thank you for all the many blessings he has provided to me and my family. Strangely enough, I don't feel deprived. As embarrassing as it is, I am just glad to be back and getting back into the healthy habit of tracking my food and moving a little more. I am not killing myself working out and not starving myself eating, so that is a plus. LOL. I just want to be under 200 once and for all!

Good for you! Feeling good about how you are taking care of your body is key. And I am with you on your lent goals...mine are 100% the same. Also, hang in there in the weight loss. I was nearly 200 lb after 4 kids and now around 140 for over a year now. In my 30s and feel better than ever!

I had the same problem... In total I wanted to lose about 100 pounds. I put that as my goal and was feeling was overwhelming and discouraging. I too readjusted my goals to hit smaller increments. I started at 245. My first step was to get rid of the nasty 2......my second step to hit 180. I'm happy to say I have done this and am enjoying being in the "Blue" for now. I'm happy to say that I have lost 65 lbs so far. My third step is to maintain current life style and this weight for a few months too make sure I don't backside into old habits. REMEMBER YOU'VE GOT THIS! We are ALL here to help each other!
