Today is Day 2 of my 100 day Challenge of no drinking and no desserts. I did this last year and it worked really well. I allow myself ONE skip day which is Easter. I hadn't planned on doing this until Feb 1 but Ijust got tickets for the Opera in NYC on May 1 and I want to enjoy a cocktail with my sister and dinner out before the performance. SO, I counted back 100 days and found that yesterday was Day One. Lucky for me that I hadn't had anything to drink yet! Unfortunately, I HAD had one 1/2 c. of lite icecream, but I'll have to let that go!
This is a good process for me. It helps to set me back at a good weight ( for me that's 150) and I always sleep much better when I am alcohol free.
I am going on a 4 day business trip today, though, which always seems to be centered around going out for dinner and drinks. Anyone have any good lines for how to turn down a cocktail without getting into a long explanation?
