253....hmmm, guess I was due for the pound and a half gain...lol!!! I guess I'll have to try a little harder!! I broke down and made my husband his sausage gravy and biscuits the other day. I made some beer bread, and 2 loaves of peasant bread yesterday. Both of them whole wheat. They turned out really well. So, last night the hubbs wants the sausage gravy for supper!! So, he got it over beer bread, because I didn't want to make biscuits from scratch!! I had ran out of my biscuit mix. He said he liked it!! Hey!! Thanks for that compliment!! Made me laugh!! I had to make the beer bread first yesterday, because it takes an hour to bake. I ended up putting the peasant bread in the oven last night a 11!! The house smelled really yummy this morning though!!

I was going to try to post the recipe for the peasant bread, but it is a little long, so here is a link Peasant Bread This one I liked the best, as it has a little video tutorial at the bottom of the page. I made mine last night with 3 cups of all purpose flour and one cup whole wheat. It turned out really good!! I used a pyrex loaf pan, an an old 1 1/2 qt corelle casserole dish, that was square! Worked out just fine! I may play a little with this recipe, and try to make some holiday breads, with added brown sugar and some cinnamon. That's what is nice about recipes like this, you can play around and make them uniquely yours!! I hope you enjoy it too!! Nothing wrong with a slice of homemade bread now and again!!

Since the car has decided not to run, I get no gym time...hrmph....I would much rather go to the gym than try to do a work out at home!! Looks like the hubs has to work on it tomorrow. We may need a new alternator. I think I'll make some beef curry, or something tonight for supper. We have been going out on fridays for a good while now. I think its time to eat at home for a change. Besides, with the car down, we can't go anyway!! Its all good though. I don't have time to worry about what I can and cannot do because of a dumb car that is being lazy...lol!! I have the internet to explore, and house work that needs done, cats to play with, so I have lots to do!! No need to get unreasonably upset over something I cant control. No reason to eat all day long, because of something I can't control!! I can always find that distraction needed to keep me occupied. I don't have the use of the car on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I don't drive on the weekends, the hubby does.

Now, I'm off to find something good for lunch, and to get some washing done, and to get those leg weights out and do some exercises. I hope everyone is haveing a great Friday and have a wonderful weekend!!! Keep up the great work on your weight loss journeys!!!

Know how it is with the no-car thing, renting one tomorrow so I can get to Syracuse and Rocky Horror. The whole grain bread sounds delicious :)
