It's a rainy, grey morning here today, but my little ray of sunshine is that the scales read 262.5!!
I didn't buy any new jeans this weekend, darn. I'm wondering if it will be a good idea to get a new pair. My present 2 pair are getting rather loose now, and that will leave me one pair that fits snug. These 2 pair are headed for the too big box soon!!

I can make one pair of jeans work. They have a tear across the knee, but nothing a patch won't fix. Its so nice to wear some shirts I haven't worn in a while too!! Kind of makes me a little sad to give up a few favorite t-shirts, but I can always buy new ones!

I bought some protein shakes on saturday from GNC. They're pretty good! If you ever decide to buy some, make sure you look at the nutrition info on them. The special K stuff is not a good choice. Yes, it has protein in it, but it has way more carbs!! Most of the so called protein bars are the same, with loads of carbs and a little bit of protein. I'm talking about the ones you get in the grocery. You are better off buying them at GNC, or a health food store. Even then, look at the nutrition info. Of all the ones on the shelf at GNC, I found 3 that had more protein than carbs.

The Atkins shakes are ok, you just get a little bottle, (11.5 oz)where as the Total Lean, Lean Shake is bigger(14oz) for the same amount of calories, and the Total Lean has more protein. I was trying one of the bars as I was typing this, and I think I'll stay with the shakes! It was supposed to be an oatmeal chocolate bar. Yuck!! Just not a good taste .

My little new addition to the house, Pearl, has been trying to help me type. She is a cutie pie, but hell on a keyboard!! She's being a little pain too, trying to drink my coffee, trying to get the bar I was trying to eat, now she has the wrapper and is trying to kill it!! She kept grabbing my fingers and hand as I was trying to type too!! Little monkey butt!!

Enough about protein shakes and bars, and baggy jeans. and precocious kittens!! How was everyones weekend!! I hope you all had a great one! Mine was basically calm, enjoying the cool days with abundant sunshine. I also hope you all have a great Monday too!!

Keep fighting that diet battle!! I'll be here for backup!!
