I love cool clear sunny early fall days!! It is a beautiful day today!! Took the ASN to get some meat from the little mom and pop store I buy my meat from. It's really good, and they get it from farmers who don't use steroids or antibiotics. The meat and chicken taste so much different than the commercial stuff you get at walmart, etc. I introduced her to the place last week, and she is hooked now! It is just a little more expensive there, but not a whole lot. Their ground chuck is really lean, and when you make a burger, all you have to do is add a tiny bit of steak sauce, and mmmmmm!!
I finally got into the drawer that had a few pair of my jeans in. The 2 biggest ones actually are rather baggy now!! They are about a misses size 22. No gut sucking to get them fastened now!! Made me feel really good. I have ONE pair of misses size 20 that I can get on!!! I have to do the gut suck to zip them, and they fit like I like, snug in the leg and butt!! The misses size 18, those are another story. I can get them over my butt, and get them on, but no way am I gonna zip em. Thats ok though!! I can get them on, even without zipping or buttoning,, and I haven't been able to get them up past my mid thigh for about a year and a half!!!
I have to get moving and find that box so I can put the now oversized shirts and jeans in!! I just might have to go and buy a few pair pf jeans for the winter. I saw the cutest pair of leggings the other day, but I'm not that small or brave to wear them again!! I used to wear them back in the mid '80s with a nice big top or nice tunic top. Won't catch me in those now!! Not even the skinny jeans!!
I have been having some trouble getting my protein in my meals to be more than my carbs . I don't eat potatoes or pasta that much anymore., but the carbs I'm getting are from my veggies, and I'm really having a hard time getting it to be more than my carbs for the day. I decided that I would get some protein bars, or drinks for a snack twice a day. Hrmmpf.. I checked out the special K protein shakes and bars, and they have WAY more carbs than protein in them!! The whey protein powder and drinks are more what I'm looking for, as they have loads more protein than carbs, but are really expensive!! I guess I'll just have to get some any way.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! I went through some of the recipes on here, and plan on using my crock pot more!!
