Back from the dr office, and the official weigh in is....TA DA 266!!
I really feel good today!! I am going to try to go to the gym before going to pt today at 2. I think I'll have me a bowl of cereal, and head off and get some pool time in, since I missed it on monday!! Besides, my cat Fancy is in heat and she attaches herself to mom! She likes to crawl all over, meow and cry, and attach herself to my left arm with her claws!! Dang, I just got those healed up from last time!!!
For those of you who might tell me to get her fixed, yes, I know I need to get her fixed. She is on the get spayed list here in this crazy household!! I cannot afford to get everyone fixed at once, and have to do it as the hubbys paycheck allows. That means one every other month or so. I go through a low cost spay neuter program, but it still costs me around $40, With only the hubs working, we get a little tight on the cash flow.
And while I think of it, pleas please be careful with your pets and fleas!!!! My neighbor across the street and another up the street are having one miserable time getting rid of them. Yesterday, Across the street neighbor knocks on the door, and has her young cat wrapped in a towel, and the poor cat is having tremors, and them decides to have a seizure. I knew what had happened. They had bombed the house with Adams flea bombs, and her "boyfriend" let the cat into the house without airing it out!!! Poor baby got poisoned by the bomb, plus the OTC flea drops. I caught another neighbor to take her to the vet. Demon ended up staying the night. Well, at around 6 she comes back over with the other older cat Bert, and he's presenting the same way!! I grabbed the hubs off the computer, and we called the vets after hours number and headed back to the animal clinic. Bert had to stay the night too!!!
The vet said they were having all kinds of calls and people bringing in their pets with flea drop overdoses. The fleas are particularly bad here this year, with all the rain we've had and the not really cold enough winter last year. The year before was just downright warm. and no winter to speak of!! I'm looking for really snowy and hopefully cold enough to kill the fleas off!! I mainly rely on peppermint and clove oils mixed with white vinegar and original blue dawn dish soap!! That really does work!! I use it in my rug scrubber and clean the carpets every 3 months or so. I use advantage for my cats, and I get it from Amazon. Its a little cheaper than through the vet, or pet store.
between the stress of getting the neighbor to the vet, and walking up and down the street knocking on doors yesterday afternoon, then the other trip in the evening, I got quite the work out. Didn't really eat either. And tonight is Fire house Subs Friday! Yay!! Then its off to wally world to grab some catfood. The babies are out of their soft food, and I hope they still have those 30 lb bags of kit & kaboodle. We go through one of those a week!!! Thats what happens when you feed feral cats and your own!!
Well, enough from me, Have a wonderful weekend and a stellar Labor day!!! I'm thinking on what to have on monday!!! Hmmm.....
