I'm done counting net carbs at least for now (I found something else that works better for me and have an 11 lb loss in 3 days to prove it!)... Although it works for me, I can't seem to make it automatic. I need to spend my entire day counting calories, net carbs, preparing special foods and exercising 3-4hrs a day and neglecting everything else in my life or I gain massive amounts of weight.

I want more from my life than just weight and health control.

I'm still taking all of what I have learned and change to a more raw foods way of eating.

So far, I have plenty of energy, don't count carbs or calories, and no special preparations unless I'm in the mood. I eat whenever I want and basically as much as I want.

I'm not totally raw. I still eat one cooked meal a day and don't worry about the carbs or calories in that meal either. I even still eat my low carb ice-cream. Although, I find I can make banana ice-cream out of frozen bananas is just a minute. Whether I will ever be still remains to be seen.

I'm finding it easier and my body seems to be responding positively to it. Right now, I'm still losing just the water weight from the weight I gained over the past couple of months while I was taking care of my mother (she had hip surgery. I've been staying with her, not weighing foods and trying to keep to the low carb way of eating... Without close tracking I gained 15 pounds.

I've been doing this transition to more raw foods for only 3 days and have already gone down 11 pounds.

Just to give you an idea of what I mean, here's what I did yesterday:

I blended a handful of romaine lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, a handful of cucumber, handful of blueberries and a slice of cantaloupe, handlful of flaxseed, and a handful of almonds with one packet of splenda. This drink was sweet and tasty.

Throughout the day I ate a few raw ears of corn (sweet as sugar), a few carrots, more almonds, cherry tomatoes, snap peas and another one of those drinks.

Later for dinner I ate a lamb shank, cooked onions and a huge red potatoe smothered in butter and a gravy I cooked it all in made of soy sauce, pepper paste, sesame oil, spenda brown sugar and minced garlic

For dessert I ate a large piece of cantaloupe with turkey hill strawberry sugar free ice-cream (not even low carb)... and then later ate more ice-cream before bed.

I lost 4 of those 11 lbs!!!! and never counted anything or concerned myself with weight. It just came off.

How wonderful for you! If you have found something that works this well, stay with it. If it quits working, you can always change back.

That's what I thought too! Who knows, maybe my body just needed a change. I periodically have to change up my exercise. Maybe I need to do the same with how I eat.
