Sandy701's Journal, 15 October 2010

Another gorgeous, but cool day. Had to wear a long sleeved t-shirt with light fleece vest to go walking today, but I ditched the vest after a mile when I circled back by the house. Doggies are thoroughly enjoying this weather too, esp. since I let them get into the pool when they came back.

Today's walk was just 3 miles, as that large dog was out again, off leash in the front yard where she lives. We had to avoid that area, so I added another mini-loop to almost make up the mileage. This brings my weekly total to 15.5 miles and I've now made the challenged 50 miles, going a total of 52.2 miles. There are still about 8-9 days left in that challenge, so the rest is just a bonus.

I'm so inundated with projects and housework and doggy "maintenance" to do today, I hardly know where to begin. I took time out yesterday to try out a recipe from the Atkins site, Pumpkin Chipotle Chili. It finished simmering about 9 last night, so I just sampled a bit. Hope to have some later today. DH will probably have it for dinner while I have fish; a type he doesn't like, so I'm eating it up, a little each week.

Have a good weekend, all.

Thanks Carmel. It helps that my method for charting my weight ignores tenths as well as any gains unless I can't drop them by a Monday weigh-in. In reality, I can think of only 2 times my weight went up to more than the next pound in the middle of the week. In most cases, it dropped right back by Monday. My method keeps me motivated and I don't stress out about the normal, everyday, tenth-of-a-pound weight variations.
