Since I have been away for a month, I have just been looking over my progress to date and am so disappointed with myself! I will definitely kick it up a notch (or five). All I seem to be doing is eating eating eating and I know I'm not hungry all the time. I have to start tracking everything I eat again because this is just not working for me *sob*

I hear ya!! I think we all love to eat. I suppose the common answer is to keep celery around to snack on and things like that. My favorite thing to keep from snacking is to come here to FS and start reading and posting with others in the same boat. You can do this, you know you can.

Thanks so much for your encouragement! We've just had our kitchen renovated and in about a week I'll be back to a proper routine ~ what a good idea to keep fresh cut veggies in the fridge for a quick snack. Unfortunately I have such a sweet tooth and can't find anything to replace it. Any suggestions?

Im on south beach diet but for me sweet treats are limited to 75-100 calories per day. I can have things like... no sugar added fudgsicles, Sugar free jello, sugar-free popsicle, sugar-free hard candies, cocoa powder unsweetened baking type for making recipes, sugar free and nutrient enhanced drink mixes. I like those falvored teas and drinks that are in little packets you add to your bottled water or glass. I also like to snack on nuts but they are limited too... dry roasted or raw almonds, dry roasted peanuts, walnuts etc.. but usually only about 1 ounce of them per day. I love natural peanut butter (100% peanuts..nothing else added) and eat it right off the spoon but get too carried away with it so I couldn't control myself and banned it from the house! :) There are also some great dessert recipes right here on FS in the kitchen. I loved the pumpkin custard and make it all fall long, hubby and I like dessert.

Agreed... the more time I'm posting, the less time I'm cruising the kitchen to find an unneeded bite of something! The site is filled with great recipes and snack ideas. Don't be afraid to put up a post in forums and ask for ideas, too! I find that I sometimes forget great ideas and putting up a post can bring out things that I'd not eaten in a long time. :) Keep up the hard work!
