Cutting out caffeine has been pretty much a success. The only caffeine I had was on those chocolate granola bars, and that wasn't very much caffeine at all and I hardly ever have them. Normally I would've had about 2 cups of coffee and 2 caffeinated diet bevarages. However, I went totally overboard with the Trident gum. Unfortunately, I bought it in bulk, so it'll be around for a while. I'll try to find some way to dispose of it without upsetting the housemates who bought it to share, because if it's there then I just don't know how I'm going to resist it. Ugh. Right, so, next step is to cut out all gum, starting tomarrow. I also went totally overboard with the caffeine free diet soda. I've got to train myself to have moderation. I've been able to do it with non-Atkin's foods at home and church, and if I could only teach myself to have moderation with regards to caffeine free diet soda I'd be a happy woman. On the other hand, if I were good at moderating my food intake then I wouldn't have needed Atkin's in the first place. I feel like I'm powerless over food and totally obsessed with it. Maybe I should join OA or weightwatchers.
