This is my first day on FatSecret, but the beginning of my fourth week on Atkins. I have lost 12 pounds. I wish it was more, but so be it. I just finished the summer term, so now I will be home prepping for the Fall semester for the next couple of weeks.

My goals for this week are 1) To begin walking. 2) to not binge eat 3) to cut back on diet soda and Atkins bars.

Walking: I have been getting up between 5 and 6am to prepare for a 745am summer class, so I am going to try to keep the same wake up time and go walking in the morning. In the semester I begin at 9am on T Th and don't have class until 2pm on MW, so I should be able to fit a nice walk in every morning.

goal 1: get up at 6am and walk.
goal 2: walk 6 days.
goal 3: walk at least 1 mile each day.

Binge eating: I have binge eating disorder. I have binged at least 4 times a week since I was 10 years old. Atkins helps with this. The combo of the way that Atkins seems to satisfy me and the strictness of the diet help to curb binging. I have binged once since Jul 14th. This was because someone gave me regular soda instead of diet. I was so upset that I binged. I knew I would have three days to get back into ketosis anyway, so I ate.

goal 1: eat 3 meals and 2 snacks.
goal 2: eat regular portions of food.
goal 3: keep track of my emotions surrounding over eating.

Diet soda/ Atkins bars: I have a sweet tooth. I tend to drink diet soda or eat a bar to satisfy these cravings. Lately, they have been getting stronger. I think that I might have better luck with LESS of these foods. It is like they make the cravings even stronger!

goal 1: drink a glass of water whenever I crave a soda or bar
goal 2: choose times when it is okay for me to have something sweet
goal 3: find healthier alternatives
