Ceebee's Journal, 22 July 2010

SO I went to the physical therapy thing.. the dr said my bones are fine it is my muscles.. So i start pt on the 6th.. I was hoping to start sooner.. cause I am fed up with my back hurting. I have started riding my husbands bike everyday. I enjoy that so I think I will actually be able to keep it up.. I have been doing it for over a week now. I always wonder what is the point to cardio.. I really dont care for it.. I dont like to get all sweaty and I loathe being hot.. I am hoping that 30 min a day is "good enough" I am not a fan of exercise.. I think it is dull and boring. And FS says I burn a bit over 400 calories in 30 min.. does that really seem like a good use of time? I dunno. But at least I get to read my trampy vampy books.. :) I love a good romance with some mystery.. anywhoo good day to you all and stuff. ;)

Did you ask the PT about the benefit of sucking in your stomach?

Good luck with pt, I hope it helps. I'm no stranger to back pain - I've had back surgery 4 times! I am still on the fence about cardio...I understand why I need it but am not to a point where I "like" it. Who knows if I ever will be. And I'm not a fan of sweating either, but it does tell me I'm really doing something. At this point it's getting "easier" to go exercise, & perhaps one day I will actually "like" it, but for now I am hopeful that this Y membership will help me incorporate some variety to keep me from losing interest. My best friend has been a group fitness instructor for over 5 years, & she told me once that even now, there are some days she HATES having to get up & go teach. But once she gets there & starts the class, she's glad she did & feels great after. I go through that a lot with my regular exercise, not every time, but a lot. The important thing is we're doin it...keep it up chick!!

Sadly I totally forgot to ask.. he was kinda cute and I was a bit flustered.. They asked me to put on a hospital gown.. which is fine.. but I wear a thong underpants and have for years.. so when he asked to see me walk I told him "well this is embarrassing I am wearing a thong and it is not for you benefit or anything.. I have worn them for years" and he looked at my feet.. and I said "nope a little higher.. if I turn around and walk.. it is gonna be a full moon at 330 in the afternoon for you" then he realized i meant underwear and said... "oh.. oh.. well you can put your pants back on then if it would make you more comfortable" so yeah.. that is how my visit started.. I got home and told my husband and he laughed and said why did you wear that kind of underwear? and I told him that i did not own special goin' to the drs office panties and I was not aware that I would be asked to drop trow for a back issue. :)

LMAO! OMG Ceebee, That is so freeken funny! People are wondering why I'm laughing at my desk. I had the same experience at the Chiropractor a couple of years ago, but I just didn't say anything. I just sat there red faced and embarassed (I mean em-bare-ass'd)! LOL :)
