My scale lies to me it reads 10lb lighter than I am. So I will update my app and set my scale so it will read 10lb with nothing on it. I hope this will give me a true reading.

Bathroom scales are notoriously inaccurate. It is possible to have them calibrated, but rarely worth the effort since all you really need to care about is the downward trend. Your actual weight is just a statistic.
