Maybe I'm missing something here. I've been straying from the rigid "clean" eating program that I have been following for almost six months. (Not Keto. I decided after two days I wasn't going to stick with it.) weight hasn't moved much but my body fat % is steadily dropping. Yesterday I was famished when I got home and also extremely exhausted. Wife was going to the gym and it was on me to feed the kids. Yep! I ordered a pizza. Total dad move I know. I ended up eating 4 slices of pepperoni pizza and then falling asleep. I entered it into my food diary this morning and see that it didn't mess up anything for the day in terms of calories and macros. I am still right on target with where I want to be. How is this possible? Am I reading this right? Am I missing something? Or is it that a "bad" meal doesn't derail your program? I know that once in a while isn't bad, especially since it wasn't one bad meal that made me overweight. but to see the actual numbers make me think that pizza for dinner isn't something I need to avoid. I mean think about it, I ate HALF A PIZZA last night. Any insight will be appreciated as I am so confused. Thanks

Yes, calories are what matter and pizza is great. It's filling and it has a good combo of macros.

Thanks guys! It's difficult to find support that is of the same mindset. Everything I see and hear is about salads and diets or keto and Paleo. It's apparently not that difficult. My weight hasn't moved at all since February but my body fat is dropping and clothes are falling off. Guess I'm doing something right! VIVA LA PIZZA! 😂

Carbs+protein plus resistance training equals a great body. Scale be damned. The more you weigh the higher your natural burn anyway. It's a good thing at a certain point.
