philanddeb's Journal, 03 December 2012

I am working so hard at work and when I come home, I just want to find out what everyone's up to on FS! It's the best addiction! When I read your journals, it's like heaven! Live feeds about dogs, diets, family, success, falling off, then picking up again, awareness, energy, friends, family, bosses, weather, more animals and writing, art...

So if you lasted through this long winded installment...my question to YOU is...if you could be in a documentary, and be the main character, talking about what matters to you...what would it be about? Give it a think before you post!

Thanks to all my buddies for your thoughts! You are so amazing! I look forward to reading tomorrow!

I read your journal earlier and thought about it. And I decided that I would do a documentary on my food life. When I was in college I thought that eating everything fat free was the way to go. Then I started learning about chemicals and what foods are made from chemicals. Then I switched to a zone diet and got into great shape. I stayed that way for years until I had some health issues and that created challenges and weight gain. Now that I am back in good health I am learning about food from many different places and I am learning about myself. In hopes that it would inspire other regular people like me.

What matters the most to me is my relationship with the Lord above. My documentary would be about how I found the Lord and how he has worked in my life to change me into a better person. He is still at work in me. I have also learned that the Lord has a totally great sense of humor.

Gosh you guys! Thank you for your thoughts about your Documentaries! It says a lot about you! I am still thinking about this one...in terms of a documentary that would be meaningful to others, the one film that I love so much is 'Fat, Sick And Nearly Dead.' It really made a lot of sense to me and touched me deeply. I would like to do a film like that one, which also includes a constant contact with God and how He has worked miracles in our lives. And a thought ran through my mind the other day which made me start thinking about writing a film called, 'The Miraculous Art Of Kindness.' Or something to that effect... It would include interviews with real people who were given kindnesses from strangers that changed their lives. For example, in the film, 'Grand Canyon,' a man talks about how one day he nearly stepped in front of a bus because he wasn't paying attention and a woman grabbed him and pulled him back up on to the sidewalk. When he thanked her, she said, "My pleasure" and continued walking, disappearing into the crowd. If you haven't seen the film, please do. It's all about miracles and recognizing them.
