Any suggestions on the best BMR calculator. I did one online that said I should be at 2230 calories per day to maintain. I am 5'5", 268 pounds, female and pretty sedentary at the moment because of having recent surgery. So, I have set my calories at 1,700 a day to lose one pound a week. Does that sound like an accurate BMR to you all? Cindy

The BMR I use says for you to loose 1 lb per wk is 1675 Cal's per day. That's good, Enjoy 👌

Try it religiously track n you will lose weight, you don’t want to be like the person that starts off too low cause regardless of where u start you will adapt you metabolism to a lower maintenance intake

Also don’t forget about plateau, when u (everyone hits plateaus) hit a plateau you will have to reduce the calorie intake. People that eat 1500 calories will reduce to what 1300? Than 1100 calories, those people will be most likely unhappy n frustrated. U at 2268 will reduce at 2000? Than at 1800, than at 1600 :) u will be happy 😃

For me, those things never give me a good estimate of needed calories. I would say try your hardest to eat at the same level for at least 4 or 5 days to see what happens and then adjust from there.
