The weight loss can also happen fast, but it's never lasted for me and by day 720, I would always be much bigger than when I started. I finally learned that the time will pass anyway, so there is no reason to rush it.

So true. I’m living proof. I set a mini goal in September and today hit 10 pounds lost, all while increasing my cals, and lifting heavier weights. 15/20lb dumbbells. I also do a lot of body weight stuff. It’s been a long six months and I’m not done yet but there’s no rush. I never ever want to see those 10 lost again. People can’t believe I’m losing the way I eat. I love it!! Trust the process. Be consistent, do your thing and repeat!! IT WORKS!!

and sometimes you're eating right and exercising but the scale doesn't drop when it "should" and you just have to wait and keep doing it by faith...then one morning WHOOSH!

Love it. That first few weeks when you set your mind to it, boy do you want the scale to change overnight. Now that it's been 9 months for me, and I reached the half way point, TODAY, I am prepared to let it happen as it happens. I am happy for health the right direction. Trust in the process, that should be all our mantras.

@ Jany u hit the wrong profile, keilin here eats plenty carbs is 105 and is maintaining very well. No diet is better than the diet that allows you to eat anything. Comeback to the post when u reach 105 lbs.

@Jany I am very happy your diet is working for you! Keto, intermitent fasting works great for many people :-) What worries me about dieting is ensuring you are maintaining a well balanced diet. It isn't a good thing to lose weight too fast. A healthy weight loss plan will not exceed 2 lbs/week. Losing weight quickly actually isn't difficult, but it should be done in a healthy way - after all, that is the end goal - to be healthy. Think of those who are anorexic and bullemic. I think the hardest part, at least for me, is coming to the terms of "how did I allow my body to get this far our of shape to begin with?" and feeling down that I created a longer way to go for myself than if I had of started sooner. People need to ensure their narrative isn't "I want to be skinny"...it should be "I want to be more healthy". Then no matter if you are at Day 90 or Day 720, you are winning!

Well, Janyne , I bet you are new, I also was so excited with the results of my first week of dieting. I only lost 7 though. But that was the only week losing that much. Then I started researching how to maintain a weight loss and found a little containers of portion control on the web, I was so excited to purchase them , that day while grocery shopping at Walmart I saw them. I also found Fatsecret, Since that day I started losing one pound per week.😀

Right now I am following Dr. Berg too. As I am not pretty good with portion control, I practice Intermittent fasting. And I still don't know how to lose 5 pounds per week again. 😜
