Wow the weight sure has creeped up on me since I turned 40. I am now 51 and I am at least 50lbs over weight. Soooo I am on a mission to get a new life changing eating habit. I have fatsecret site synced up to my Iphone. Everything that I eat will be recorded. This should help me greatly! Wish me luck!!

Hi Tkaye :)....Great to meet you! Thanks for your post and i sure do wish you luck!! I can see you are truly psyched, prepared and ready to get stuck in honey....starting on such a positive note is awesome and means SUCCESS is yours for the taking! I know you can and will do it!! 50 is the new 40....i am hoping I can get to feel as good as i did back then, lol...Which eating plan are you following?...I am trying to just eat fresh and virtually vegetarian, with lots of raw included and also lots of herbs, seeds and grains...I did it in Jan 2010 and in 8 weeks dropped 20lbs...sadly due to bereavment, i lost the diet plot and now have to start over!....Lets encourage and support each other and smile as we go! Hello LONDON (Lizzybe)!! I am a Texas Gal!! I lost about 15 lbs on the South Beach diet about 5 yrs ago. Due to the passing of my Dad, I too got off the "New way to eat" plan. Since then I have gain more than what I lost the first go around. I think my problem is listening to everyone say that I didnt need to lose weight, I was just fine the way I was. I was making everyone happy. That is everyone but myself. NOW I want to make me happy and being over weight is not the way. I have never been heavy until I turned 40. ONce I hit that mile marker (and having a hystorecemy) I started gaining the weight. I am using the calorie counter via my Iphone... it is wonderful to use! I stay below my daily cal. intake. I am trying to only take in 1700 cals a day. I have to see some changes or I will fall off the wagon. I totally agree with you.... lets support each other and smile big as we watch the weight fall off!!
