Yesterday ended up being OK. Did not track points, but managed to do OK overall, I think. I stopped eating very early, and the scale was actually down a little bit from the weekend. I still have to be very good today and tomorrow if I want a good WI on Wednesday, but so far so good.

Did some yardwork for a few activity points this morning, and went on a fast 45 minute walk. Shaping up to be a good day. Now I just have to tackle all the housework I've been avoiding, because my house looks like the Easter Bunny bomb went off in the living room. Sigh. Sometimes the excesses of these holidays really get me down. My DH and I work hard to do nice things for our kids, but not OVERDO . . . but try telling that to grandmas and aunties, and then uncles who feel like they must "do" since everyone else is. . .don't get me wrong, they love my girls (they're the only grandchildren in the family), but I wish I could find a way to say "please don't do so much" without hurting anyone's feelings and making them feel like I don't appreciate what they do.

I know the kids love all the goodies, but I don't want Easter turning into a 2nd mini-Christmas, you know? My, my, looks like I just went off on a rant there, didn't I?

I know how you feel about all the well-meaning relatives overloading your kids with treats and presents. I had that issue when our daughter was young but, fortunately, as the kids get older the overflow of goodies dwindles and becomes manageable. I used to let my daughter have her favorite goodies out of what was given to her and then strategically sent the rest off to work with hubby where he would just leave it out for everyone in the lunch room and it would "magically" disappear! I don't have any advice on how to tell relatives to stop overdoing. If there is a "good" way of doing that, I never found it! Best of luck with the "hoard"!
