I had great intentions last night at dinner. We can choose from a limited selection of items here at our retirement center, and I chose a hamburger -- NO BUN. Wouldn't you know, they delivered it with a bun. I finished having a salad and removed the burger. . .leaving behind a delicious-looking little "well" of soft juiciness on the bottom half of the bun. Not wanted a refined carb, especially one with gluten, I popped the top onto the bottom so I wouldn't see it. Then, I hear this tiny voice, "Let me out, let me out, I'm suffocating in here!" So, being the kind-hearted person that I am, I liberated that juicy center of the bottom half of the bun. . .and ate it. I can't bear to see something suffer.
