Hey all! Anyone follow a healthy food options/calorie deficit plan? I’d like to connect with some like-minded individuals :) Please day hello!

I try. I was doing good then got a little off track. Hoping to get it together and get back on track soon.

I try to keep my carbs between 50-90 max per day. Was doing 800-900 calories but then hit a bump in the rosd that stalled my weight lose. Recently tried to up my calorie allotment to 1200 but seldom reach it. Most days I hover at 900-1000 cals. I am a type 2 diabetic and the lower carb count has allowed me to drop my insulin dosed to half. i don't eat beef or pork products but do eat eggs, dairy, poultry, fish, a tiny amount of fruit and lots and lots of veggies. I allow myself chests but I try to plan ahead and work them into my calorie allowance. i have a theory thst chocolate is one of the required food groups. Gotta have a bit of it a few times a week.

I'm keeping to a prescribed RDI and eating within that boundary. I've been at 1600 calories a day and am ready to go down at least 100 calories, if not more. I rarely meet my RDI, but it's nice to have that cushion :) I also do very light exercise: walking, stationary bike, and light (4 pound) dumb bells. I've lost 15 pounds since May and have 20 to go.

I probably wouldn’t be much help. Getting to maintenance now then go back to 1200. I do try to eat meat and veggies as my main food but sneak in snacks as I’m able. If I cut them completely then I go nuts when I’m around junk food. As to exercise I hit the gym for 1h cardio, 1 class and 40-60 minutes of weight training on the machines. Also figuring out a good home routine. And I’m not a ‘clean eater’.

There is a myriad of different ways of eating by individuals here in the FS community - many of them will be like-minded, no doubt! We support each other, even the non-Ketoists like myself... Ha Ha! Welcome! 😂👋

I am trying clean eating Cutting out processed food refined carbs and 1000kca per day with a focus on protein 80g per day. Adding in good fats too.

Hello 🙂 Nice to meet you. Good to see you are open for opinions. Found under my journey, many opinions was taken onboard, some worked, some didn't. In your situation, I would suggest having a browse under settings here on FS, and tick of Sugar as one of those things you get to see as a column together with your food entry. The sugars tend to make a weight loss journey hard, so getting that number lowered would probably makes things a lot more easy going for you. Wishing you good progress.

I'm organic and no processed Foods, almost always keto.. I usually make my own condiments etc.. Seems to work for me !!!

Im just trying to count calories in vs out from my BMR and exercise. Im trying to eat smaller portions and more vegetables, but nothing extreme. My goal was to run a deficit of 3500 calories per week. So far its working. Ive lost about seven lbs in four weeks. My BMI was in the normal range when I started.

Awww...thanks for showing so much love everyone! What a warm welcome! I always enjoy learning about how others are reaching their health gials. It’s so important to me to support others no matter what method works best for each of our lifestyles. I don’t know if I fit neatly into a category, as it’s definitely CICO with the healthy food choices (occasional treat).
