Sparks1971's Journal, 04 June 2018

Such a frustrating week. Started out sick as a dog Sunday night/Monday morning with severe abdominal pain. Turning into just severe pain in my side Tuesday and Wednesday, to the doctor Thursday who sent me to the ER. So as a result, Monday I ?think? I only had a slice of buttered toast and a 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce. The rest of the week is kind of a blur. Although I remember as soon as I could keep food down I was intent on eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, so I'm going to do my best to remember what I ate and log it retroactively.

Also, a bit of an eye opener for me, is that I can very clearly see that in my workplace there is zero sympathy or eff's given to anyone who is sick, as my boss called and texted me requesting I urgently call him back, while I'm laying in the ER bed... Sigh and I wonder why I always feel stressed and like I'm walking on egg shells?

Its always better to eat an egg than to be walking on eggshells. Sounds like you need a new boss. Some bosses need a knot jerked in their tails. Sorry your's is one of those. Years ago my when my dad died (he commited suicide) and my sister was out of state on vacation when it happened. I was frantically trying to reach her to let her know what happened and to get her home. This was before cell phones and I had lost the number to where she was staying. My boss said to take all the time I needed. I had a funeral to plan, a will to read, a million calls to make, a house to sell, etc. He called me the next day wanting to know I'd be back to work the next morning. Heartkess Bass-Turd! Some bosses have no heart. I hope you are feeling much better and the results from the ER were good.

I completely understand, my father passed away last year and the amount of things that I never knew I had to do, along with all the things I did know I had to do after he passed was ridiculous and the standard 3 day bereavement that most companies allow in no way could have covered it.
