My weigh-in doesn't reflect that I'm eating healthier now than I have in years, but most of this is water weight coming back. My almost 4 day water fast definitely helped me to understand just how much garbage I was stuffing into my face. I've cut out all fast food, sodas, and sweet tea. The sweet tea is the hardest, that's gotta be my kryponite, but so far so good.

that weight is going to quickly reverse itself with cutting all that out.

What matters for weight loss is eating on a caloric deficit

If u eat too much healthy food you will not lose weight

If you stick to unprocessed whole foods, it’s almost impossible to over do your calories. Go easy on the nuts and fruit and you’ll be golden! Best of luck, I know that sweet tea is a hard habit to kick! 😊

You're doing it right. It is often said that you need good health to loose weight, and that you now break away from the inflammatory sugars will bring you health.and power to go on strong. Well done.

Congratulations! For the past two weeks I have managed to keep my weight gain to only 1 pound on the refeed by keeping the carbs around 20 a day. In my case, higher carbs would cause my liver and muscles to store glycogen and that requires water, hence the 'water weight'. By reducing the carbs, there wasn't that much glycogen to 'store' so not much water weight :) This was must for me because I need to keep my insulin production down because I am insulin resistant and insulin is how-I-get-fat.

Now that I think about it I was always drinking sweet tea when I was obese

I still drink sweet tea a few times per week. But I make it with Stevia now. 3/4 cup Stevia per gallon. That may be something you could try :)

Sweet tea is delicious, but I took it away slowly by going 3/4 sweet, then 1/2, 1/4 and now zero. Every so often I make a batch with a little taste. If you take away everything all at once, you usually go nuts.

Give Pure Leaf Unsweetened Green Tea a try. It is light, refreshing, not bitter
