Hey ALL - Today's my Birthday!!! Happy Day to Me!!!
Thank you all so much for yesterday's opinions, and input, regarding my recent 'snafu' w/ hubby dear! (just to fill in the gap...he liked the new 'cotton' ensemble - and felt terrible about how badly he made me feel w/ his insensitive comment.) We kissed and made up ;) So all is well that ends well! LOL!
Way back when - when we thought last month would be crazy and my Mom would be going to my sister's after the wedding...we planned a one week vacation at a local (hour from home) campground on a lake. We had no idea my Mom would pass away and make the month even more in need of a vacation then originally thought!!!
Anyway...we leave tomorrow, and will be gone for the week. No computers, no cell phones (except emergencies!) (and it better be an emergency if someone dares try to reach me!!!) There will be a cocktail or two... maybe even the random appetizer by the lake w/ a glass of wine... but other than that I vow to behave myself!
I traditionally only like to weigh in twice a week. So I will try to weigh in tomorrow morning but then not again until I return. I have been doing great getting all the crap carbs out of my system, drinking lots of water (the heat insists!), and have slightly upped my lean protein, lots of veggies, and of course salads! Love them!!!
I could live on just grilled meat and salad if someone would let me! ;)
I am sure I will get lots of exercise this week...as my hubby bought both of us new bikes for our birthday's!!! (his was in April, but I didn't buy him a gift then - as he got a very expensive camera back at Christmas time - and he didn't want anything.) Anyway, we will be doing some Bike Path riding during the week, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, and God only knows what else!! Plus checking out the other 'cotton' assortment of interesting finds from my trip to the Mall!!! ;)
Should be a great week. He's such a good man, and truly loves me...what the heck else could anyone ask, from anyone. I mean, really?
So, I am off to go pack, and prepare the house for Mr. 18 yr old to be home w/ the dogs for the week. (ok, before anyone says anything...he's such a good kid...no worries!) (now middle son - the firefighter, I would NEVER have left for a week...EVER!) (but this one is a gem! no worries!!!)
