Hey FS Warriors,

Got the pathology results back yesterday and unfortunately I am Stage 3 Colon cancer. It had spread to the lymph nodes so I will require a six month chemotherapy regimen.

On an up note they do believe they removed all of the known cancer in me and there is no signs of it having spread to other organs. The chemo is just for precautionary measure to ensure that no cancer cells entered my blood stream from the lymph nodes looking for a new place to set up shop.

Trying to stay as upbeat as possible about everything but it's a struggle at times. Today I decided to withdraw from the college courses I had enrolled in a few months ago. I really enjoy doing the classes but just have too much on my plate right now to give them the attention they need for the grades I expect from myself. Fortunately, I was able to do so in the 100% refund window as classes had just started Monday.

My appetite is getting better but still needs work. My recovery is going slower than I had hoped but I am getting there. The doctor wasn't able to do the entire surgery laparoscopic-ally so they had to cut me open which is the main cause of the slow down.

Keep Grinding Warriors

Thoughts and prayers coming your way! My hubby was a Stage 2 colon cancer patient last year--did radiation, surgery, chemo, and reconnect surgery. It's over and all looks good--almost one year clean. My only bit of advice: consult your doc about your chemo (as it is precautionary) and look at the stats of the best length of treatment for you. My husband should have stopped short a couple of treatments, because his neuropathy and cold sensitivity were made so much worse by the last two treatments--which he now regrets. Will pray for a good outcome for you!

Prayers going up that the root of the cancer has been killed...if you are a believer, please know that you are healed by His stripes and stand on that! God is still in charge.

May God give you his power to overcome everything and be strong! I experienced this in 2010, and understand you. The healing power of our own organism is magnificent. After all chemotherapy try to fast and drink only carrot, blackberry and broccoli juices few weeks. And now avoid any meat products and sweets. I'm praying for you🙏.

I'm sorry to hear that more treatment is needed. I am glad that your health was great when you started this battle, and that will be a benefit you. I agree with Cgpsk...the human body is capable of amazing things. Keep that upbeat attitude of yours, and look forward to starting those classes when this is behind you. Prayers!
