Yippee it's Friday!! I am so ready for the weekend!! Hubby is off to his Mom's so I'll have time to go to the pool and do my yoga. Gonna do some baking this weekend (with the music blaring). Still searching for that edible cookie. Can't seem to find one in the Keto recipes that I like. I realize it will never taste 100% like a regular cookie (in my head), but my taste buds don't want to give up what they're looking to get - a real cookie. When I wanted a dessert, I made whipped cream and 2 strawberries or whipped cream and mini chocolate chips. I tried that NS Walden Marshmallow Fluff stuff and it was AWFUL! I read so many good reviews on it, but all I taste is a chemical flavor. I'm going to try making my own ice cream too, haven't had the craving yet, but many of the ice creams are too high in carbs (4 or 5) for me, I only can have 20 in a day. The recipe I found was 1.6 carbs per serving - much better. I'm going to perfect the recipe before the summer - preparation is the key! LOL Oh, yeah I've got to make some more bread too. I enjoy a roll with my breakfast so the cloud bread comes in handy. They freeze okay too, making some in advance is a good thing. So this weekend, for once in a long time, its all about me!! :-)

Slowly shift your foodfocus to vegetables, lean meat, nuts, etc. Convince yourself that the sweets don't taste so good anymore (the low fat/calorie ones are not as good as the real thing anyway & don't eat sweets if they're not worth the calories !). Allow yourself one "real" sweet a week if you absolutely cannot resist them- you'll get used to it & benefit. Make yourself take a 15 min. walk if you can't get your focus off wanting a sweet. Keep the sweets out of the house so you won't be faced with them. Concocting ways to have "good" sweets with just keep you in the habit of wanting them. I don't even put artificial sugar in iced tea & now like the taste. Good luck! Eat an orange - they're very sweet as are strawberries or even a Honeycrisp apple.
