So I've done 295 minutes of kickboxing in 4 days. Haven't lost a pound.

You can't outrun a bad diet, too many carbs, not enough fat. Cardio will make you more energy efficient, not energy wasteful.

I have lost 3 pounds just eating and fasting. No cardio or lifting. Its like Mahjon said. Teach your body to burn fat on its own and you wont have to kill yourself by burning out Glycogen stores just to START burning fat.

I need to figure out how to add more fat. I don't like avacados and the thought of adding a lot of butter or coconut oil to my diet makes me want to yack. I'm getting frustrated but am surprised that I haven't given up yet. I want to be out of the overweight category.

I feel your pain. Working out can help you loose weight but a change in diet with a intense workout is the fastest way. Also drink a lot of water because your body releases the excess water when it gets enough. I lost 5 pounds in nine days counting calories and working out 30 minutes to 2.5 hours daily. I start with cardio and incorporate weight training.You will see results just keep up the good work.:)

Also to gain a pound of fat it takes 3,500 more calories that are not used. Some professionals argue that to loose a pound of fat you must burn 3,500 more calories than you consume. Cutting back 500 calories a day will help you loose pounds even without exercise.

Hi Jessica. I've looked back and average between 950 & 1250 calories a month. I do cardio 4-5 times a week and weight lift about 4 times a week. I drink a lot of water with some lemon juice in it. For some reason it's not budging. My husband started the kickboxing and has lost 5 pounds already. Bugger,lol

If you tighten up your diet you will see change. Lean protein, lots of veggies, and healthy carbs (cut out the processed stuff). 950 calories is not enough and your body will hold on to fat for energy.
