I have had trouble with wanting to binge eat. I ate cereal yesterday out of the box as a comfort food..was fighting a binge all day...but that was a controlled decision.

I had to use a mindfulness exercise this morning to try to stay focused on my plan.

I am stressed about work and my brain is trained to eat when this happens. Counselor says that every time you don't binge when you feel that way you are reinforcing a new neuronal pathway.

So if you successfully deal with stressful situations without eating 5 times in a day and the 6th time you eat, it is still a success because you reinforced the new pathway 5 times.

Ugh I'm hungry, I want Burger King cheeseburgers. I want chips. Not having that. I have healthier choices I can make and I am not going to fall back to the old habits.

eat a cheeseburger. Just throw away the bun. Stay out of the cereal box.

The urge to binge can be very hard to beat. I lose too many times. Think about what you want to be. Eat something healthy, then do something else (walk, video game, etc), then hopefully the hunger and craving will be sated.

Great job putting this out there! When I want to eat, I try to watch something on TV that is mesmerizing like "Survivor" or a movie. Habits and thinking patterns are tough to break. You have support here, stay aware and do your best <3

No stranger to binge eating, I actually eat while watching tv shows and iv realised i get hungry when i watch them so now i avoid those shows :D Try n watch something like Fat families or biggest loser showing how people work hard to lose weight. Iv found it inspiring. Don't falter! We're all rooting for you!!! Mwaaaaah <3

When I get that urge to binge I've been grabbing a handful of nuts and strawberries.
