I just had an amazing dessert.
102 calories, 3.5grams of sugar.
A xylitol brownie with half a serving of Blue Bunny Double Strawberry ice cream. It tastes soooo good. I wouldn't have guessed it was a healthier dessert option.

Did you make it yourself? I've never heard of a xylitol brownie. Sounds good though 👍

Does xylitol have an after taste?

@FFD I can send you the recipe if you want! I modified a recipe I found on here and for one brownie it's 57 calories and 1 gram of sugar @HCB I don't notice an after taste at all and it's much sweeter than white sugar. I love it, especially since it has dental benefits and none of the harmful side effects of Splenda, Stevia, Truvia, etc.

Oh boy, what's wrong with stevia? Eek I've never been a natural sweetner person but picked some up (Pure Via vanilla) and have been using a squirt here and there some days. Ugh I don't really even like the stuff to be honest I guess I just don't want to pitch it ...

Lol a xilitol brownie sounds like a halucigenic . What is that?? Doesn't sound natural. Stevia is 100% safe, it's natural, comes from plants.

My mom read an article on it and told me to avoid it, I'll have to ask her what it was. Xylitol is a natural sugar substitute made from birch bark. Fair warning though, xylitol is extremely poisonous to dogs and cats, so if your animals get into food often it probably isn't for you. For humans though, I love it. They actually make gum and toothpaste with it that dentists prescribe because it helps heal and prevent canker sores and prevent cavities. It's 10 calories and 0 sugars per teaspoon (I think. It may be tablespoon). They say it's a 1:1 ratio for substitution but since I find it so much sweeter I use 1/2:1 or 3/4:1
