Deadlifts are excellent. I dislike them, but they gotta get done! :-)

Dead-lifts are one of the ultimate exercises every person that goes to gym needs, but beware as bad form on a dead-lift can cause serious injury

Gave up the gym membership a couple of years ago in favour of working out at home with various equipment and running along the promenade etc....and so badly miss doing the deadlifts. I used to LOVE them lol...they make you feel so powerful. Hope this doesn't seem like a strange question... but does anybody know where I could buy a barbell for home use?

sportsmans warehouse will have, Mr price sport and game might have but the prices of these things have gone through the roof....prices range from 400 to 1300 (Olympic sized), and thats just the barbell, excluding any weights, those you gota buy seperate but sportsmans warehouse always has a wide variety to choose from

I bought my first set from Mr Price Sport. Barbell, 2 dumbbell and a few weight plates, in a plastic carry case

Saige: Good idea about Gumtree, thnx. Sometimes a person can get really amazing bargains. Good job with your work out. I had sore arms last week so I know exactly what you talking about :) What weight do you use? I don't want to go too heavy, I'm more about toning than bulking. Bren.Ec: I got my pink dumbbells from Mr Prices Sport I just love their stuff. Love the fact that your stuff came in a carry case. Sounds so nifty.

Always check gumtree for dumbbells and barbells. Make a lower offer than what the seller is listing his/her stuff for because in most cases the sellers are just clearing stuff they don't need and won't mind letting go at a lower than asking price :D Just be careful of scammers.
