Big Boy Optimus's Journal, 18 January 2016

I've been paying attention to my oral health and looked at natural ways to whiten my teeth and strengthen my gums.

I came across people giving up the use of toothpaste and taking a natural approach with the method of brushing my teeth with pink himalayan salt and baking soda as well as gargling with pink himalayan salt water solution called sole(pronounced solay). This method strengthened teeth and allowed them to repair themselves.

The thought of not using toothpaste seemed very odd but I started on Friday morning with this method. Suprisingly, my mouth felt really clean after my 1st attempt.

I also read that drinking the sole every morning on an empty stomach is beneficial to the body since pink himalayan salt contains 84 minerals and also detoxes you. So before brushing I just swallowed 1 Tablespoon of the sole.

I repeated the method on Saturday and Sunday morning as well. I broke sleep in the early hours of Monday morning to use the loo. I experienced mild diarrhoea and thought that perhaps I ate something that disagreed with me. I got up Monday morning and my tummy was making some weird noises and while using the loo I realized that this was actually part of the detoxing effect of consuming the sole :) So I read up some more and realised I should have consumed 1 teaspoon of the sole instead of 1 tablespoon so that could be why my tummy was reacting to it so quickly. I also read about the "Salt Water Flush" which is a more natural intentional way to flush your entire GI tract.

I guess by consuming the 1 tablespoon sole a day I unintentially caused some cleansing to happen inside my intestines. I will lower the dose of sole and continue :)

I hope this info helps those who get to read it :)

I work with people, and I am very conscious of bad breath. Did you notice any odours? Forgive me for asking, I would like to try it, but, I would worry about that part of it.

Jules559 I've noticed that it has eliminated odours :) Salt kills bacteria more effectively than toothpaste does(well that's what I'm experiencing). I'm very conscious of my breath especially because my gums tend to bleed but since I started using the pink himalayan salt to brush and rinse/gargle with, I noticed that my gums feel much healthier so there's no bleeding to cause daily bad breath later in the day :) From what I've read - The sole kills bacteria, assists in healing the gums and teeth(even reduces/fixes cavities). Google about it and you will find many people stating their positive experience with using pink himalayan salt to brush and rinse/gargle. I guess we are just brought up believing in commercial products that we find not using them is odd.

Big Boy Optimus, you are a true inspiration. Thank you very much for all your tips. I am going to give it a try for sure. I am busy doing the cloves and linseed cleanse. On the second round of it, and I notice my tunny is a lot flatter than what it usually is. I don't think I am imagining it, because even my son said I look less pregnant, and he is very sceptical of everything that does not involve sweating for three hours in the gym :-) Have a great day, and thank you again.

Jules I also found that chewing on a sugar free minty bubblegum during the day gives me that fresh minty feeling that lasts quiet a while thanks to starting my day with a cleaner & healthier mouth.
